Oil on wood panel. In this piece I wanted to express a kind of restless longing for a place where one cannot be. I also wanted to express believable light on a partly cloudy day, with an emphasis on variation of textures, strokes, flow, direction, tools used, value placements, painting style, etc. to keep the eyes moving and interested in the image.
