Miss Peony

I painted this still life from a peony plant in a state park that I presumed had no significance to me. However, I realized that my subconscious couldn’t help but pull inspiration from my distant memories of the Peonies that once lived outside of my grandparents house. Now whenever I see Peonies growing and thriving in new places, it encourages me to remember the past while still being hopeful for the future.
