Hadwen House

This was a commissioned piece of the historic Hadwen House on Nantucket. I was excited to be commissioned to do this painting as one of my biggest inspirations comes from patterns of light and shadow and the details of historic architecture . The late afternoon sun casts beautiful shadows from the old trees on Main Street creating soft shadows across the structure of the building and along the brick sidewalks and cobblestones.
