This painting is from my imagination.I am always inspired by old , historical buildings hidden with lots of memories, experiences of life stories of the previous owners existed once upon a time in the past.It is an old historical tower with its spectecular view of The Bosphorus in Istanbul called The Galata Tower, which was built first in ancient Roman Empire , being changed its original architecture from time to time after several restorations, painted at full moon night. The passion for the blue color is highly reflected in this painting. It is painted on cold pressed 300gr watercolor paper and only used organic vivid handmade colors ; Ultramarine blue and Magenta.
The first layer is the drawing the images with waterproof ink.The second layer is painted with watercolor.Dark shades are added and finally the highlights are applied with white ink.
I used wet on wet / wet on dry techniques and some pigments are picked off with a piece of cloth to show the depth of the clouds.
