Hogweed has always attracted me with its delicate inflorescences. Many people considered it a weed and fought with it in their gardens. As a child, I loved to make wreaths of its young shoots with flowers. There are 147 species of this plant in the world. Some varieties reach a height of 98 inches. And when I saw a hogweed that grew above the roof of a small wooden house, I really wanted to capture it. I was also attracted by the riot of shades of greenery of the June grasslands. All these herbs and flowers created some very picturesque mess that I wanted to convey. This scene was quite difficult for watercolor technique without white colour. And that also attracted me. I painted this picture entirely from life in the plein air. And the relatively stable sunny June weather helped me.
