Nymph Reflections
This is a studio painting done from sketches, a plein air study and digital images in the Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park, Colorado. This is the second lake up from the Bear Lake Trailhead at about the 10000 foot elevation. The lake was not its usual self just full of lily pads, but had an unusual reflection in the lake caused by dying trees that were casting a bright red reflection from a beetle tree attack several years before that nearly devastated the park!
