Coastal Sentinel

This is a plein air painting done on the California coast about fifty miles north of Santa Cruz. It was a foggy morning and there were various periods of partial sun peeking through the clouds and low fog. This is the Pigeon Point Light house that juts out on a small peninsula. It allowed me to get the light house in its glory plus the coast line surf, usually nearly impossible to get!
