Flank Riders

This is a studio painting done from Sketches on site and digital images while at a working cattle ranch near Mariposa, California. I spent three days here sketching and taking photographs of the various animals thar were at the ranch. This was my favorite scene with a cowboy and cowgirl discussing their rounding up of strays and getting them back with the herd.
