Otusz Train Station
Currently, I am focused on the theme of the permeation of human beings and their surroundings. I try to recreate the facial features of the people I portray from memory, allowing for some distortions due to its imperfection. I style the poses of the figures at the same time, usually using my own illuminated body as a reference. This motif is being developed in my paintings interspersed with semi-abstract landscapes, that hold a meditative significance to me. In this painting, I depicted a woman I met at a train station in a small Polish town called Otusz. In the background a train is passing by, clouds are gathering. I painted the picture in 2024, I used acrylic paint on linen canvas.
