Done For The Day

The painting was made as a present for my husband Frank. Yes, that is his Piper Cub, but.... his is in pieces and who knows when it will fly...if ever! The plane on the right is his Aeronca Champ, which does fly, and the one in the back is a Bellanca , which isn't his and doesn't fly either.
The scene is imaginary...an old wooden hangar on a grass field somewhere but the people are real. That's Frank on the right and our old flying buddy, Milt Henderson on the left, long deceased, pushing back after a fun afternoon of flying the Cub.
