At the school where I work, this small scene could not be ignored. No adult or child could pass by without stopping to admire this tree in this moment. The ground was bright pink from fallen leaves - just as spectacular as the trees itself. I worked in oils on linen completing it in 3 hours before the sun moved behind the building. To capture the warmth of the day in paint feels like a great achievement.
