Toot-n-Tug

While searching for a good view to paint on Lido Isle, I spotted a small boat near the bridge. The strong shadows cast over the water by the bridge seemed to beckon me as if saying "Stop! This is the spot!". The bright red, light blue, and white little vessel stood out against the golden-green reflections in the water, emphasized by the cool purple shadows. The movement of many boats passing under the bridge in both directions contrasted with the calmness of the tiny tugboat tied to the dock, its image reflecting on the water. I felt a sense of tranquility and wonder at the beautiful array of colors in just one small area.
